Maryland Deaf Bassmasters
5th tournament was full of surprises, as Chris Von Garrel
pulled the upset of the year, by defeating Jason Teramae an
ending Jason's domination of 3 straight tournament wins! Chris
did it grand style catching 3 largemouth bass including the
lunker which was 14 3/4 inches and 1.56 lbs. Chris total weight
for the day was a nice 4.09 lbs. Jason not to be outdone did
everything to try to figure out Marshy Hope Creek but had
to settle for one legal size bass, Constantly changing lures
and try to find what would work. His one bass was a nice 13
1/2 and 1.33 pounder that landed him second place and also
increased his lead to take both the Bass Angler of the Year
and The Overall Point Championship for 2003, Jason sitting
on top of the MDB World this year with 12 fish. and over 17
pounds of total weight for 2003! So let's encourage Jason
has he continues his drive to break the All-Time MDB record
which have stood for 5 1/2 years. "GO GET EM JASON"!
The Maryland Deaf Bassmasters is moving along well to set
the All Time Single Season for most Fish caught in one year,
Present record is 40 fish set in the Year 2000, at present
MDB anglers have 35 fish this year. I suspect that Nanticoke
River Tournament on October 27th may set the new standard.

Our next tournament will be at NANTICOKE RIVER @ PHILLIPS
LANDING DELAWARE on Sept 27th 2003 from 7 am till 3 pm, I
hope that MDB Anglers will need to practice this tournament
as a tune-up for the upcoming Deaf Eastern Championships which
will on this same River one week later from October 3 to 5th
2003. Good luck to all anglers at the Nanticoke on Sept 27th.
It has come to my ATTENTION that some members want to change
the date of our Dundee Creek tournament from October 11th
to October 18th 2003, Due to the fact that we have too many
tournaments overlap and guys want to fish them all! Whoa!
What a fiesty bunch of anglers the MDB has! Gotta get them
bass! So Please contact Dave Barker and Ken Bower if you want
to make this change and we will work on it, I need feedback
from members as this your Club, If enough people are interestered
we will change the date! So keep your thoughts and Ideas coming.
