May 17, 2003 proved to
be a Chilly overcast day, for the 7 MDB anglers who braved
cold and occasional rain. Jason Teramae upset David Rasel
to take his 2nd career MDB tournament. Preventing David Rasel
who loves the Gunpowder from also getting his second win of
his career. David Rasel finished in 2nd place even though
he got the biggest fish in length but Jason's fish proved
to be the heaviest and according to Tournament Rules of the
MDB the heaviest fish wins.!
A lot of good bass were
caught in the 12 to 14 3/8 size but none made the 15 inch
keeper limit as required. Mdb anglers put out a good effort
and fished hard. We had reports of Heavy bass caught but not
making the limit. Whoa! Guys Really tough day?
Congratulations to Jason
on his single winning bass of 15 1/2 and 2.74 lbs and also
congratulations to David Rasel on 2nd place w/ a 16 inche
bass and 1.89 lbs.
Hey David anybody ever tell you that you gotta let the Bass
eat Breakfast before you catch em'. Maybe that explains why
he didn't make top weight. LOL!
The MDB welcomes aboard
new member George Dailey who was brought on by David Rasel,
and also future member Alan Tharpe who's contact was Dave
Barker. So when you see the new Members "WELCOME THEM
ABOARD!"
The next MDB tournament
will be at the Susquehanna River at Glen Cove Marina on June
21st from 6 am till 2 pm. Hope to see all of our members there
as we are expecting a big battle that day to try to wrestle
this River away from Ken J. Bower who has won 6 times in 10
tries. Giving him the title "KING of the Susquehanna".
Good luck to all the members at the next tournament.
