Proved to
be a tough day for the Maryland anglers, with high winds
and cold weather, lots of nasty waves in the 2-3 foot
range, forcing us to limit our fishing areas by only fishing
the coves, and quiet places. But also making it frustrating
to find the Fish!!! For the first time in 6 years, Ken
J. Bower failed to win this Tournament as the weather
was just too much to handle everything Ken tried Jigs,
crankbaits, spinnerbaits and deepdivers failed to produce
decent fish. Other MDB anglers also failed to get fish
which actually left Ken’s winning streak intact.
At about 1 pm President Dave Barker pulled the 6 anglers
who showed up and it was agreed to quit early, we then
discovered that our ride back to the dock was was a crazy
one fighting the Wind and water. After we arrived back
to the dock, it was agreed by all anglers to return $10.00
or ½ of the tournament fee and still maintain our
point system. We all also agreed this Tournament was a
Bust! And one of the Tough ones we have fished in our
MDB History!
The
MDB welcomes new “Rookie Angler” Miles Fleming,
who enjoy the day on Ken’s boat learning new techniques
and ideas on how to get them bass, and beat the Champ!
Our next tournament will be on May
17th 2003 at the Mariner Point Park launch site, on the
Gunpowder River, Ramp is free!!! And time is 7 am to 3
pm. Any questions, please contact President Dave Barker
at DBGOBASS@aol.com or dbarker52@wyndtell.com, or contact

for the members to contact us quickly.
Good luck
to all the members at the next tournament.
